Prenatal Yoga

Prenatal yoga is a gentle but effective way to prepare for labor and promote your baby’s health while keeping you fit. Practicing yoga during pregnancy can help improve a mother’s sleep, reduce stress and anxiety, decrease aches and pains as well as nausea, headaches and shortness of breath. In each class you will learn effective breathing techniques and muscle awareness exercises that are helpful during labor and delivery. You will also strengthen and stretch muscles while developing balance which keeps your body healthy and strong for pregnancy and after the baby is born. Yoga during your pregnancy not only helps your body, it also helps you cultivate self-awareness and inner calm. Instructors introduce mindfulness and breathing skills that are used to encourage a peaceful mental and emotional state. These skills learned during our classes can keep you and your baby calm and happy for years to come.
